I guess we old fucks are no longer influencing motorcycle marketing because everything at Milan seem to be aimed at younger ad new young riders. Sport bikes ad small bikes. Theres nothing of interest for me at least. Guess it's to be expected, after all most of us that love bikes like the Tbird either can no longer ride due to health issues, or dead, or soon to be. Damn. Theres not a single bike out there that interests me anymore except the T120, and thats never been my 1st choice til now. Sad...we're a dying breed guys...

I don't even bother to look anymore, matter of fact when I walk into my Triumph/Indian dealer it's all rather ho hum, same old stuff. Triumph showed their true colours when they ditched the Tbird, I'm sure the R3 is only there for bragging rights, it certainly doesn't sell here anywhere near the numbers that the Tbird did.

I only bought the Chieftain because the R3 is a hopeless tourer and my Bird is getting on in years and mileage, I wanted reliability for longer rides.

Most of the new bikes excluding the HD tourers etc are too small for my lanky frame, I even had another look at the R18 bagger but I just can't get past the foot location.

Gotta wonder if their reluctance to debut much of anything new lately has to do with Triumph anticipating the future of their electric line and the idea that IC engines will son be phased out or at least emissions standards changed drastically. It IS coming, maybe not soon but the USA has already set deadlines in some states after which no gas vehicles will able to be produced. That'll probably be repealed due to the timeline being too rushed, but only as a postponement. So i cant help but wonder if this is why triumph's development has stalled out aside from the same old rehashing of various models by adding a few parts and calling it a new model.

If that's the case then I'll put a Triumph brand on a horse and ride the damn thing. Screw EV's
